Influential French designer Coco Chanel revolutionized fashion by introducing the versatile, affordable, accessible garment. Today, the wearing of black at funerals is in decline, and it isn't uncommon to see black at weddings—even on the bride! Such flaunting of tradition was unthinkable and scandalous to earlier generations.

Blues @ Home: Mississippi’s Living Blues Legend

Currently at the National Blues Museum  H.C. Porter’s interactive portrait series titled “Blues @ Home: Mississippi’s Living Blues Legends.” Visual artist H.C. Porter created 31 paintings of Mississippi-based blues artists and has paired them with oral histories from each subject. The exhibition includes images of world-famous performers, including the late David “Honeyboy” Edwards, the late B.B. King, and Bobby Rush.
